「大嬸婆與小聰明」是劉興欽老師創作的經典漫畫，經由和利得公司研發改造成動畫型態呈現，內容更為生動活潑，又富有教育意義，不僅適合推薦給小朋友觀看，而且老少咸宜，更適合闔家觀賞，這套動畫頗有寓教於樂的效果。
　　 這次很榮幸應「和利得多媒體股份有限公司」邀請，參與製做「大嬸婆與小聰明」動畫英文版的翻譯與配音，這是個能夠奠定國人聽力及口說基礎能力的合作案，所以常春藤特別聘請優秀的外籍老師加入，如Amanda老師(加拿大籍、為常春藤資深的英語廣播教學主講者)、Brian老師(美藉，曾為國內多齣卡通做英文配音，同時也是才華洋溢的編曲家)、Jerri老師(美藉，常春藤解析英語雜誌社資深編輯暨數位課程主講者)及Steven老師(ICRT電台最受歡迎DJ)，在他們生動活潑的配音之下，期望不論是大朋友、小朋友都可以練就一口標準的美式發音。
「Grand Auntie and Smarty」is the most classic Taiwanese comic created by Liu Xing Qin. After the examines and researches done by Click multimedia, it is presented as a cartoon for children education. Now, the contents of the creation are more vividly animated and also very significantly educational. It’s not only suitable for children, but also suitable for people in all age. It’s an honor to be invited by 「Click Multimedia Co.」, and participate in the dubbing and translating process for the English version of 「Big Auntie and Smarty」. It’s a way to establish our compatriots’ English speaking and listening ability through cartoon. Therefore, Chang Chuen Teng has hired outstanding Caucasian English teachers to help and join the process. Such as Ms. Amanda (Canadian, an experienced broadcasting education teacher in Chang Chuen Teng), Mr. Brian (American, has done lots of English dubbing for Taiwanese cartoon, and also a talented song writer), Mr. Jerri (American, Senior editor and lecturer in IVY league analy english), and Mr. Steven (ICRT radio station’s most popular DJ). With their lifelike and vivacious dubbing, we hope not only the children but also the adult can have a standard American pronunciation.

　　很高興能親自參與「大嬸婆與小聰明」之英文翻譯之工作， 因為我們這一代就是看劉興欽老師所創作之「大嬸婆與小聰明」漫畫長大的，其本身不但饒富趣味性，又深具教育意義，實在是在當今充滿暴力、色情慾念、或是偏執的概念的普羅卡通中的一股清流，而其也適時的在處於價值觀扭曲的現代社會中，給小朋友們的心靈提供了更美好的示範，這也與中原大學所一直提倡之全人教育的理念完全相符。再者，本卡通更加入中英文字幕及發音，非常適合學生們英文之學習，而且在可預見之將來，應能成為中文教育及臺灣文化對全世界輸出之出口，不論是就其教育性、趣味性、及生命啟發性而言，都可謂卡通影片中之翹楚。

I’m very happy that I can participate in the process of English dubbing for「Grand Auntie and Smarty」, because in my generation, we have lived our childhood with the comic of 「Grand Auntie and Smarty」created by Mr. Liu, Hsing Ching. It’s not only very interesting and entertaining, it’s also very educational. It’s a new breeze nowadays because most of the cartoon in the modern world contains course language, violence, and sexuality. Under the twisted value of the modern society, it’s capable of providing children a better mental education. Also, 「Grand Auntie and Smarty」contains English and Chinese subtitles and pronunciations, which is very suitable and helpful for students in English learning. We can also predict that in the future, this creation piece could become the essential element of Taiwan culture and Chinese learning method for the globe. Comparing to other cartoons in Taiwan, its quality of schooling, entertainment, and inspiration makes it a very remarkable piece on the cartoon field. Therefore, I recommend to all the parents in the world to watch 「Grand Auntie and Smarty」established by 「Click Multimedia Co.」. Let your children not only to learn the common senses and knowledge, also let them learn some morality lessons which would benefit them in the future!

重量級演員吳敏，在百忙之中接下大嬸婆閩南語的配音，是什麼樣的機緣讓這位本土知名藝人，不計酬勞的參與「配音」，且聽她的娓娓道來：

　　對我大嬸婆、阿三哥印象很深，這要從五十年前說起，那時候我放學回來，就直接到漫畫書店裡，一直到媽媽說這個孩子下課怎麼沒有回來？到漫畫店裡，就約對找得到我。要是不乖，爸爸就會威脅我說不讓我看阿三哥與大嬸婆的漫畫了，我們那時候小孩最大的享受就是在漫畫書店裡看大嬸婆與阿三哥，所以我這次能夠錄這個大嬸婆的音，我感到非常的榮幸。
　　 所以今天我配她這個角色，如果沒有把這個可愛的人物，配的更可愛，我真的是對不起劉興欽先生。說實在的，現在要看這麼溫馨又有教育意義的片子，真是很少，因為能夠學習到許多有趣的生活常識，啟發小朋友，我覺得很難得，希望這個卡通能夠推廣到每一座學校，每一個家庭。
　　 五十年前我怎麼也沒想到，在五十年後我有榮幸參與這個製作，更要佩服的是我們的製作小組，他們真的是很努力，這批年輕人，我真的不知道怎麼形容，把這些台灣人早期的漫畫人物，用這麼有趣、這麼現代的手法方式表現出來，我現在也當阿嬤了，我的孫女兒如果能看到，一定會喜歡，不會有代溝，「大嬸婆與小聰明」真是很有意義又具啟發性卡通，是我們台灣的驕傲，經典之作，我很盼望這套作品有機會發揚到國外去，我也希望我趕快學英文，有機會能夠用英文來配大嬸婆，這個也是我的願望。

Heavy weight super star Taiwan actor Wu Ming has accepted our offer for the dubbing of the part of the Grand Auntie. What made the local famous celebrity to not care about the remuneration and willing to take her busy time out for us? Let’s listen to what she has to say about this cartoon. To me, I have the deepest impression for Grand Auntie and Shawn since I were little. It all started from fifty years ago. Everyday after school, I would run straight to the comic zone, and read the” Grand Auntie and Smarty” until my mom started to wonder where I’ve run off to. Then, she’ll come to the comic zone, and she’ll always find me there. If I was being naughty, my dad would threaten me by not letting me reading “Grand Auntie and Smarty”. To the children at the time, the moment of enjoyment of ease and comfort to us was when we were reading “Grand Auntie and Smarty”. Therefore, now I have the chance to dub for the Grand Auntie character, to me, it’s a great honor. Therefore, today if I didn’t dub Grand Auntie, this cute character, to an even cuter character, then I can’t face Mr. Liu, Hsing Ching. To be honest, it’s rare to see a cartoon nowadays that’s very heart-warming and full of education meaning. It’s hard to come by to have a cartoon that can let the children learning some useful common senses, and very inspirational. I hope this cartoon can go to every school, and every family. Fifty years ago, I would’ve never thought that I’ll have the chance to dub for Grand Auntie fifty years after. It’s an honor to be able to participate this production. I really admire our production team; they really are striving their best to perfection. These out standing youngsters use such modern and entertaining way to perform such old-fashioned character. I’m a grandmother myself now, if my granddaughter sees this cartoon, she’ll definitely love it and will not have any generation gap. 「Grand Auntie and Smarty」is a meaningful and inspirational cartoon, It’s a pride of Taiwan cartoon industry. It’s a very classic production, and I’m looking forward to be able to enhance and glorify it to other countries. Also, one of my wish is to be able to learn English well enough in time to dub for the English version of「Grand Auntie and Smarty.

模仿小天王唐從聖，是位多才多藝的新生代藝人，在忙碌的工作中接下「阿三哥的配音」，讓我們看看他對「大嬸婆與小聰明」的關心與期盼

記者：劉興欽這漫畫你小時候看過，那時候印象如何？
從從：小時候就有看過他的漫畫，我記得小時候沒有動畫，只有漫畫，
　　　他的漫畫是比較本土一點，很有親和力，是生活週遭會遇到的一
　　　些事件，看起來很有親切感，很特別。

記者：那時候，你想不到長大後有機會來幫他的漫畫人物配音吧？
從從：嗯，沒想到，我覺得有一種完成小時候的一個夢想。雖然小時候沒
　　　想過這個事情，長大後還可以重溫舊夢，感覺還不錯。

記者：你是用什麼心情來錄阿三哥？
從從：因為我看到這次的題材都比較跟教育、生活方面有關，是一個很好的起跑點，我覺得透過這種模
　　　式，推廣台灣本土自己的動畫，很有意思。

記者：你錄完了這十集，感覺如何？
從從：我覺得不錯，從本土的教育部分出發，非常好，也很期待，如果成功了，未來我們在娛樂的部
　　　份，也一定會有更好的成績，其實我們是有這的能力，就是需要有大家一起來為台灣本土卡通
　　　加油的環境。

記者：聽說你很佩服吳敏把大嬸婆角色配得很成功？
從從：我很好奇製作單位怎麼會想到找吳敏阿姨來配音的，真是太絕了；我和她是很熟，節目上常遇
　　　到，我覺得大嬸婆好像是為她畫的，吳敏阿姨的聲音芒起來，就是活生生的大嬸婆，她把那個
　　　角色變得更活潑了。

記者：講講你對這套動畫的期許。
從從：這個動畫滿好玩的，把台灣人共有的記憶立體化、數位化，是一個大工程，而且富有教育意義。
　　　正經八百的說道理，小孩不想聽，但是透過大嬸婆、阿三哥他們之間發生的故事，那就有趣了，
　　　不但可以讓小朋友學習到更多的知識，甚至我們慢慢喪失掉的倫理道德、做人的態度，裡面都
　　　有，是一套很很成功的教育影片。還配國語、閩南語、客語、英語，就是希望各種族群都能夠
　　　看。這樣子的動畫那麼有親和力，應該有機會外銷到國外，希望全台灣的父母都能一起來支持
　　　「大嬸婆與小聰明」，不要讓我們的孩子光看日本卡通了！

Mimic king Tang Tsong sheng, is a very talented Taiwan new generation Actor. He decided to accept the offer to dub for Shawn, even though he already has a full working schedule. Let’s hear what he hopes and thinks of「Grand Auntie and Smarty」.
Journalist: You’ve read the comic by Liu, Hsing Ching when you were little, what did you think of it?
Tsong Tsong: I remember when I was little; there weren’t any cartoon, only comics. His comics are more heart-warming and local. The stories are what might happen around you in everyday life, makes you feel really close to the characters, very special.
Journalist: Did you think you would have the chance to dub for his characters at that time?
Tsong Tsong: Nope, I never thought I would ever have the chance to do something like this. It’s feels like fulfilling the childhood dream of mine. Even though I never thought of doing something like this when I was little, it’s nice to relive an old experience.
Journalist: How did you feel when you were dubbing for Sam?
Tsong Tsong: It’s a great starting point for me because I think this cartoon is more involved in everyday life and education. It’s a great way to popularize local Taiwanese cartoon.
Journalist: How did you feel after you finish dubbing for these ten episodes?
Tsong Tsong: I feel wonderful. From education point of view, it’s very successful, and also, has high hope for this production. If it’s a success, we would be able to have greater achievement in the entertainment industry. We have the ability, but it’s just that we need everyone to help and support Taiwan local cartoons.
Journalist: I heard that you really admire Wu Min who was a success of dubbing for Grand Auntie?
Tsong Tsong: It really catches my attention to how did the production team think of Wu Min to dub for Grand Auntie. It’s a “killing” idea. I know her very well, often runs into her in TV shows. I feel like Grand Auntie was created for her. When I heard her dubbing for Grand Auntie, I really feel like she’s the real life version of Grand Auntie. She made the character more life-like.
Journalist: Can you talk about the hopes you have for this production?
Tsong Tsong: It’s an interesting cartoon. This creation piece has digitalized and showed the common memories for all Taiwanese people, it’s a huge project and very educational. If you talk about principles and what should they do and what should not, children wouldn’t be interested. But through「Grand Auntie and Smarty」and everything they’ve gone through in the cartoon, it’s going to be very interesting to children. They can learn more knowledge, and even regain the morality, and attitude we’ve began to loose nowadays. This production contains all these, it’s a very successful cartoon. There are also mandarin, Taiwan mother language, Ha-Ga language, and English dubbing which hoping it’s suitable for all nations. This cartoon is very heart-warming, there’s a big chance that it’s going to also popularize to other countries. I hope all the parents in Taiwan can come and support「Grand Auntie and Smarty」, don’t let your children watch Japanese anime anymore!
